Considered an ecological reserve or ecological sanctuary, one of the 10 most important in the world, home to rare plant species of flora and also from other countries. The path of the centenary imperial palm trees provides to the visitors a lush visual. It has a very diverse space and we can see about 6 500 plant species, some even threatened with extinction, distributed in a large area of 54 hectares. Are 330,000 dried plants, Carpoteca with 5,800 dried fruits, Xiloteca with 8000 samples of wood, large space with Orquidário and a library of about 66,000 volumes and 3,000 rare works.
